L15N is a vertically integrated specialty coffee producer and exporter in the Soconusco region of Chiapas, Mexico. Annona is a direct partner and shareholder — outside the fund structures — investing in the full chain from cultivation to export.

The Partnership
Aligned across the supply chain
L15N manages the entire value chain — growing, processing, drying, and exporting — from their own farms in Chiapas. That degree of vertical integration is rare, and it is precisely what drew Annona to them as a direct partner and co-shareholder. What Annona brings is grounded in who we are: coffee professionals with direct producer relationships, a finance structure built for origin, and a commercial network that connects premium Chiapas coffee to buyers who value it. Each party contributes distinct expertise — and every party has a stake in the outcome.
“What we bring to L15N is not capital alone — it is knowledge of the full chain, relationships at origin, and buyers who understand quality.”

Soconusco Region
A legacy written in volcanic soil
The Soconusco region on the Pacific slope of the Sierra Madre, near the Guatemalan border, is one of Mexico's premier coffee-growing areas. Fincas sit between 600 and 1,250 meters above sea level on the slopes of the Tacaná volcano, benefiting from rich volcanic soil, altitude, and an ideal microclimate for arabica production.
In the 1890s, German families were invited to establish coffee estates in Soconusco — giving rise to place names like Nueva Alemania. The region's long history of specialty production created the infrastructure and agronomic know-how that continue to define coffee quality in Chiapas.
