The story
Castelgazzo was born in 1995 thanks to the vision of its founders, Mario and "La Geña" Cristiani. From the onset it was conceived as an agricultural and forestry project with a firm commitment to the land and to sustainability.
The farm is in a unique location: the buffer zone of the Montecristo National Park, inside the Trifinio Biosphere Reserve, where El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras converge. In this privileged enclave, surrounded by cloud forests at 2,418 msnm, the coffee finds the perfect microclimate to achieve exceptional quality.
After the founders' passing, the legacy continues at the hands of their daughters: Paola, Lucia and Carolina, who have kept alive their parents' passion — to offer a space where one breathes peace, beauty and profound contact with nature.
Castelgazzo is more than a coffee plantation: it is a permanent project that combines forestry production, environmental conservation and sustainable human development.
